Apartment in Ajuda

Lisbon, PT. 2017 Private client _ Rehabilitation project This project holds a special meaning as it was our very first one. At the time, the challenge was clear: the apartment had only one bathroom and the client needed two, the sunrooms were enclosed, and the breathtaking view deserved to be fully embraced for a short-term rental investment, which was just starting out. The intervention ended up being extensive, renewing the plumbing, electrical systems, and finishes. For the interior, we opted for simple, practical furniture suited for short stays. Above all, we sought to help this apartment recover its identity, bringing it enhanced comfort and a more functional spatial layout. We restored the original wooden flooring. We kept the hydraulic mosaic found in the kitchen, a happy surprise during the renovation. We repurposed the old sink, turning it into the washbasin for the new guest bathroom. Photographic records are few—at the time, the focus was on the construction work and the details drawn on the walls for the contractor—but the memories and the experience remain!"
