Duplex in Cascais

Cascais, PT. 2019 Private client _ Rehabilitation project This was an unexpected invitation, but a very welcome one! We had the opportunity to dive into a major renovation project with sea views in the heart of Cascais village. The challenge was significant: it was a long-time family home filled with heavy furniture, every room was overcrowded, the house was worn down, and the client struggled with decision-making. While the execution design was underway, careful and judicious management was required to decide what would stay and what had to go. Boxes and old furniture quickly piled up in the garage, and the space started to breathe again! All finishes were replaced with more modern and comfortable solutions, the walls gained life and light, and the kitchen and necessary facilities were built from scratch. Construction issues were resolved, along with the plumbing and electrical networks. New furniture moved into this home, and small details from the past found their rightful place! Weekend site meetings, measurement corrections (several!), doubts (many!)... but in the end, with a dedicated team, the client was satisfied and the house felt so much lighter!
