Private client _ Rehabilitation project

This project holds a special meaning as it was our very first one. At the time, the challenge was clear: the apartment had only one bathroom and the client needed two, the sunrooms were enclosed, and the breathtaking view deserved to be fully embraced for a short-term rental investment, which was just starting out.
The intervention ended up being extensive, renewing the plumbing, electrical systems, and finishes. For the interior, we opted for simple, practical furniture suited for short stays.
Above all, we sought to help this apartment recover its identity, bringing it enhanced comfort and a more functional spatial layout.
We restored the original wooden flooring. We kept the hydraulic mosaic found in the kitchen, a happy surprise during the renovation. We repurposed the old sink, turning it into the washbasin for the new guest bathroom.

Photographic records are few—at the time, the focus was on the construction work and the details drawn on the walls for the contractor—but the memories and the experience remain!"

Private client _ Rehabilitation project

This was an unexpected invitation, but a very welcome one! We had the opportunity to dive into a major renovation project with sea views in the heart of Cascais village.
The challenge was significant: it was a long-time family home filled with heavy furniture, every room was overcrowded, the house was worn down, and the client struggled with decision-making.
While the execution design was underway, careful and judicious management was required to decide what would stay and what had to go. Boxes and old furniture quickly piled up in the garage, and the space started to breathe again!
All finishes were replaced with more modern and comfortable solutions, the walls gained life and light, and the kitchen and necessary facilities were built from scratch. Construction issues were resolved, along with the plumbing and electrical networks. New furniture moved into this home, and small details from the past found their rightful place!
Weekend site meetings, measurement corrections (several!), doubts (many!)... but in the end, with a dedicated team, the client was satisfied and the house felt so much lighter!

A satisfied client returns!
This time it wasn’t a family home, but rather an apartment with generous areas and great potential for student rentals.
After the inevitable decluttering, we focused on unifying the spaces through carefully chosen materials while bringing in light and comfort. A thorough layout study was carried out to organize the rooms and accommodate 5 students. Each bedroom was given its own purpose: some smaller, others featuring private study areas, and even a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom—which was once the sewing room.
Along the way, we resolved water infiltration issues coming from the roof, as it was a top-floor apartment. The kitchen and bathrooms were built from scratch, and the existing wooden flooring was restored. In the most degraded areas, we matched the original wood, eliminating an old, mismatched combination of materials that didn't work.
The kitchen was custom-designed and built, with the extra care of creating a very useful dining nook ideal for shared living. Meanwhile, the large living room was planned to accommodate a common area for relaxation and leisure.
In the end, a satisfied client with zero headaches throughout the process. Thank you for the trust placed in us!

The phone rings and a friend asks for support!
'I'm going to renovate our bathroom and I need to start gathering quotes.'
A layout study and a finishes schedule were quickly put together, aiming to optimize the space and replace some of the materials while integrating new ones.
A successful study—we didn't get to see the project come to life because a new real estate opportunity came along!

"We finally bought a house! We already have the construction team and a start date set, but we need help with the layout study, bathrooms, and kitchen."
We immediately moved forward with the preliminary study, the floor plan featuring the equipment layout, and the execution project for the bathrooms and kitchen. We also handled the tile layout (stereotomy), the finishes schedule, and the selection of materials—all in harmony with a great team executing the work.
House ready, a life project beginning, the furniture moving in, and what an enormous pleasure it was to receive a dinner invitation!
The client was satisfied, but we were even more so for having been a part of such an important phase as buying a first home. We thank you for the trust placed in our work!

"I bought a house and I'm going to renovate it!"
A team was quickly assembled, ready to spring into action. It was a deep intervention: new plumbing and electrical grid, a wall came down, and a living and dining room perfect for hosting friends was born.
We carried out a careful lighting study, transformed a sunroom (at the time enclosed and heavily degraded) which returned to its origins as an open balcony, and created a pink kitchen... why not?
This was a project that was a pleasure to watch unfold. Not only because of the importance of it being a "first home", but also due to the challenge of managing materials and textures so that, in the end, the space was ready to receive the furniture and belongings worthy of a client with great taste.
We thank you for the trust placed in our work and the privilege of being able to be part of such an important milestone in our client's life!

Private client _ Rehabilitation project

First meeting: "We moved to the attic and we're renovating downstairs, it's quite an adventure!" It was a wonderful invitation; there is no greater privilege than working with raw Portuguese architecture. We witnessed an important transition moment in the client's life: the home once inhabited by a mother, father, and their three children is now a gathering place for parents, children, grandchildren, siblings, uncles and aunts... A house that is shaping up to be full! So much so that the dining room was designed to accommodate a table for sixteen people (at the very least!). It was a true teamwork effort, with the client always available and full of ideas.
We carried out a careful lighting study, the design of the main woodwork, and a custom-made walk-in closet. Two of the bathrooms were designed and planned for the future. After several paint tests on the walls, we found "Monserrate pink", which brought a romantic side to the master bedroom, ready to receive the client's exceptionally tasteful furniture. The kitchen was the biggest challenge. The client loves baking and loves hosting! It is spacious, opens onto the rear balcony, and lives up to the dining table designed for 16 people. The space was structured to include a laundry area, a pantry, a meal preparation area, and a Lioz stone island, which serves as a transition space to the dining room—both for hosting and for having a mid-morning coffee. In the living room, a wall came down, a French door was repurposed, and an office overlooking the living room emerged. A highly qualified team was already on-site bringing all our requests to life. It was a privilege to be part of this adventure. We thank you for the trust placed in our work!

Private client _ Light Design project

"This is the 3D of what we have designed for our home, now we need your support to make it happen!"
With the licensing project completed and approved, and construction already underway, our response could only be: "Your house is going to look amazing!"
Faced with a very proactive client and execution already in hand, we sprang into action with the layout of equipment across the various rooms. The goal? To ensure a careful, distinct lighting project fully adapted to the spaces.
We defined circuits, socket locations, equipment placement, and specifications.
Modifications were made on-site and all necessary changes were carried out to thoroughly fulfill the client's requests.

The result of this process? A fully finalized proposal for interior and exterior lighting, enriched by our consulting support at the execution level and maximum attention to detail.
We eagerly await the final result, monitoring the progress of the work on-site whenever necessary, and leaving a huge thank you for the trust placed in our work!
